The body of the bag is in the classic Monogram coated canvas, which is durable, water-resistant, and one of LV’s signature materials.  Natural cowhide leather for the rolled leather top handles and other trim details. With use, this leather patinas (darkens) over time. Gold-color hardware, including a double zipper closure and a padlock (with LV engraving). The interior has textile lining, often soft fabric, and includes an inside flat pocket.
